Franco Morbidelli is a great talent of MotoGP, currently one of the best drivers around. I certainly do not find out and it is nothing new. But in the 2020 he has finally shown everyone what he is capable of if put in a position to win. He took home three races (Mir only one, per dire) and finished second only thirteen points behind the champion.
The 2021 it will be the year of Franco Morbidelli?
I don't often deal with MotoGP on this blog, I prefer to talk about travel and news, but this does not mean that I do not follow it, let alone that I have not been impressed in recent years by the talent of Franco Morbidelli. As soon as I learned that he was at the Yamaha headquarters in Gerno di Lesmo, I immediately tried to snatch a short interview from him. The “Soft” it is as we see it on tv: calm, smiling, polite. Definitely a boy “in a way” which does not even remotely make you think of the grit he is capable of once he gets on the saddle. Meeting him has been a pleasure and I wish him every luck for the future.
