More and more women are riding motorbikes; it's a fact that can only please us. Even when… we take pay! Nonsense aside, I can testify that it's really nice to be able to share your passion for motorbikes with your life partner or friends..
Women always have a different point of view (about everything but absolutely everything eh!) and the growth of their community within the motorcycle community can only be enriching for everyone, from simple enthusiasts to companies in the sector that, in fact, they don't leave out the “niche”.
The stimulus also reached the school desks Scuola Moto, now a small institution in our local panorama. Here every year simple enthusiasts and young people who see workshop work not only as a hobby but also as an opportunity start learning about motorcycle mechanics.. But if you follow my blog you know them well! With them I achieved the ABC Motorcycle Maintenance series, remember?
From their meeting with Claudio Conte of the non-profit Safe Road Project, and the idea was born a targeted course to give greater safety to the female public.
During on Saturday mornings in February and March, at the premises of Bikestaff in via Quaranta 50 a Milano, they will offer a course of 4 hours to all motorcyclists dedicated to safety a 360 gradi. The participation fee was set at 90 Euro.
The students will be introduced to rudiments of basic mechanics and maintenance – so not only will they be able to control their motorbike independently but they will be able to make fun of the boys who say nonsense – and to all “tricks” per drive better, more aware, more effective and get along great even in traffic.
But above all they will be able to ask all the questions they want, certain that you have experts at your disposal.
This is the structure of the Women's Safety Course:
THE FIRST PHASE is dedicated to safety in the mechanical field, that is, knowing what to do on your motorbike for preventive purposes before hitting the road. You will see in detail the basic steps to prepare for the new motorcycling season, reducing the risk of running into mechanical problems during the trip.
The SECOND PHASE is dedicated to road safety with suggestions regarding active safety, to prevent unexpected events, and passive safety with the aim of limiting personal injury and related consequences. Also traffic psychology and danger perception.
