I shot in Misano with Jorge Lorenzo, Marco Lucchinelli, Michele Pirro and… Zard!

Thanks to the event organized by Zard and Vmoto Super Soco, I spent a day in Misano with some champions. Here are some pictures!

With a certain complacency, I often define myself as a collector of first times. Here is my first time in the curves of a MotoGP world championship circuit, il mitico “santa Monica” or to call it by its current name the “Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit”, it happened at my venerable age of 41 years and with truly exceptional godparents.

The fault of this baptism – if I may say so – and of Officine Zard e di vmoto super punch who organized two events in one in Misano. It seems impossible that an artisanal reality of high quality exhaust systems can coexist “under the same gazebo” of a large Asian company that produces electric motorcycles and in fact the combination is quite original, but I can assure you that everything worked out perfectly and that no one stirred holy water or wreaths of garlic.

They called him Pro Day because as in a normal group of friends we were able to live a day from “pro” of the track followed in all respects. Here is the V7 III with the number 64 share team In Moto With Africa with which I participate in the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance European Cup, he found a place in the pits next to the bikes of other journalists and riders. To understand each other there were in front of me Stefano Manici and Sebastiano Zerbo, two names that if you love mountain or curb racing you should have heard of it at least once a year: when they win the national title.

It wasn't just them, as can be seen from the title of this post. There were above all Dario Marchetti, Marco Lucchinelli, Michele Pirro and Jorge Lorenzo. It doesn't happen every day to be able to hit the track with people of this caliber and even just seeing them among the curbs is a show., just imagine seeing them from inside as they drift past you at the Quercia or braking at Sunset…

I confess that this is not the first time that such an opportunity has happened to me, but it is the first on a track of this level and in such a well-organized context; it was a great experience that also allowed me to break the ice with the track on which the last round of the Fast Endurance is scheduled.

During the event, Graziano Milone di Zard unveiled the new exhaust 2 in 1 that the company developed for the Aprilia RS660. This is the first product of the new R&D center set up to take Zard to the next level, face the challenges of a new market and expand its product range. Good luck!
