Crosshelmet: the video of the test at EICMA with a player

Crosshelmet X1 è uno smart helmet, that is, a motorbike helmet “intelligente” able to give us a visual to 360 degrees and to isolate the annoying noises. I tried to preview with Luca, the reader of this blog who won my contest at EICMA.

In the previous days EICMA I proclaimed a small contest to bring with me a loyal reader of this blog on the day of the press and Premiere. The most cunning in responding to my video He would receive a pass and would come with me in order to try and world-first: the Crosshelmet X1, a smart motorcycle helmet that integrates an innovative technology in order to have a visual to 360 gradi. To answer fastest of all was Luca Giraldi Pistoia. And that's why Luke is the star of this video!

Me and Luke we could touch and shove his head in the new Crosshelmet X1made in Japan Borderless Incorporated, the start-up of a young motorcycle designer called Arata Oono.

In 2014 Arata san, unhappy with the proposals on the market, She decides to make a helmet that improves all aspects of safety and comfort thanks to the help of modern technology. Thus was born the idea of Crosshelmet. The spread for three years before to get involved on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo and understand the response of the public and potential investors.

Finally at EICMA 2018, Arata has its stand and its prototypes ready for the European users' judgment. Meanwhile crowdfunding campaign is going very well and exceed the predetermined fee for the start of production: Crosshelmet is the reality and the first models will be ready to start 2019.

Il progetto Crosshelmet X1 It is very special and provides, as well as an original design, and in my opinion I succeeded, a careful study of aerodynamics to reduce as much as possible crackles and have the greatest possible field. For the same reason adds a wide-angle camera in the back that sends live images to a head-up display on the pilot's eyes swiveling. In this way they eliminate blind spots and has a vision to 360 gradi.

On the screen, in addition to, They may appear navigation information by connecting the helmet directly with your smartphone. Also from our device can also decide to remove audio frequencies too high or too low, thanks to the system integrated bluetooth therefore counteract the noise inside the helmet. We could not test the latter feature at EICMA and there remains the curiosity of how to actually functions, but both I and Luca we could try a helmet and head-up display strating operation.

This is a possible way for the future. I do not know if our helmets tomorrow will all be able to increase the reality and interact with us, but it certainly is very inspiring to see what you can already do today with technology we have available.

Curious to see my reaction and Luke to Crosshelmet X1? Beh… guardati il video!

And if you liked, share it!

Thank you for support as thank Borderless Incorporated and in particular Arata Oono for collaboration and of course the good Luca Giraldi for having worked with such sympathy even on camera.
