The Meet’N’Ride in Lessinia has been a regular appointment for five years now (although it was not held last year due to my personal commitments). From the beginning I consider it a sort of birthday of the blog in which I like the idea of meeting you in person and getting to know you all a little’ better. That's why it's MEET. And it is also RIDE because while we are at it we do a nice ride. You can see videos and pictures of past editions WHO.
How the Meet'N'Ride takes place 2020?
What happens at Meet'N'Ride in Lessinia is very simple: we meet, take a motorcycle ride on the Lessini Mountains, typical delights are tasted (the gnocchi di malga are not to be missed!), you take another ride on your motorbike and spend the evening together in a shelter.
For this year I have prepared a program and a route suitable for all driving experiences and for all displacements (ok, with the fifty you will do a little’ fatigue, but don't worry we want you too and our broom will be waiting for you).
At my side there will be the boys of Moto Club Eat Sleep Ride of Verona who know these areas perfectly and will act as organizational support by leading the way and brooming as well as accompanying and recovering those who eventually get lost (but it is practically impossible).
Instead I will be in the center of the group, to enjoy the ride with all the friends who want to come. In order to keep the distance, especially at the refuge, we cannot be more than 20, so it's better to register now and not waste time.
Before you ask me I advance you: the route is road. There is only one stretch of about ten kilometers of very easy and panoramic dirt road. To be clear, my brother does it with half-handlebars and he is not the only one… In case of bad weather we will cut this part and leave only the short stretch to reach the refuge.
The Meet'N'Ride program 2020
Sabato 19 September:
- Meeting hours 10.00 at the Forte di Pastrengo for a coffee and get acquainted
- Ore 11.00 starting road tour in the West area
- Ore 13.00 lunch at Primaneve Refuge, easy and panoramic stretch of white road; this is the menu:
- Appetizer of cold cuts and cheeses
- First choice between gnocchi di malga or pasta and beans
- Homemade dessert of your choice
- ¼ of wine (plan that you have to drive!), 1/2 acqua
- Ore 15.30 departure of the second road tour in the East area
- Ore 18.00 I arrive at the Casa Alpina in Valdiporro to place tents and light the fire (those who wish can use the rooms inside)
- Ore 20.00 about barbecue and draft beer
- Ore 00.00 tutti a nanna! Who in tents and who in the Casa Alpina
Domenica 20 September:
- Ore 8.00 – 9.00 Breakfast
- Ore 10.30 starting road tour on Monte Baldo
- Ore 12.30 arrival in Rivoli, at the Il Sol di Montalto farm. For those who wish it is possible to have an oil tasting, wine and other organic products of the company and stop for a while’ to relax in the garden before leaving each for their own destinations.
Fee and registration
The participation fee is fixed in 80 Euro and includes:
- welcome coffee
- guided tour
- lunch and dinner on Saturday
- breakfast on Sunday
- overnight tent with services
For those who sleep in the room there is an increase of 20 Euro.
Obviously it is also possible to participate with the passenger; in that case both must be entered in the registration form and the fee is double.
