In these same days five years ago I was in Vietnam. I was accompanying a group of bikers for the Marco Polo Team. This luster has literally flown by and the anniversary made me remember how much unpublished material there was still on my hard disk. So I opened the wardrobe, searched for the box with the old hard drives and combed through…
I decided to do a special episode of LIVEetto dedicated to that trip and to North Vietnam in general, an area that deserves to be seen before the modernization process upsets it forever. I visited it for the first time in 2011, in the first expedition organized by the Marco Polo Team that I told in the documentary “Indochina Jungle Raid”, and I returned to it five years later noticing a lot of changes.
Now they have passed 10 years since that first trip. A decade in which Vietnam has raced at great speed towards what we call progress and which translates to a more widespread well-being in the population but also to the loss of many traditional values on the altar of gain.
In this episode of LIVEetto I show for the first time a series of unedited clips quickly edited in chronological order, which reconstruct the trip to Vietnam of 2016 and live commentary also answering questions and curiosities.
Good vision!
