  • has a competitive soul, it's a trophy

Alps Tourist Trophy: what is it?

It is atouristic motorcycle event with ranking based on navigation skills and running smoothness in which all motorcyclists can participate with a motorcycle that is also suitable for off-road use. They will be divided into two categories:

  • Tourist: with declared weight not less than 150 kg
  • Specialist: all other off-road bikes

The path alternates on e off-road and will lead participants to discover the lesser-known locations of the Piedmontese Alps and was conceived starting from the current needs of social distancing of non-assembly.

“We believe unexpected changes, like the exceptional one that affected everyone with the coronavirus emergency, also bring opportunities " – declares Manuel of MRE – "We therefore thought of a new event to return to travel with our bikes but at the same time guaranteeing everyone the necessary safety“.

Thus was born the proposal of a tourist event but also a competitive one – as happens for the aforementioned Gibraltar Race – however on Italian territory, easier to access therefore with a much lower duration and costs, and that it respects the current provisions on safety and social distancing.

Bikers will travel alone but they will be “monitored” thanks to a special logger and an application that will verify the accuracy of their path. A GPS navigator enabled for GPX maps or a smartphone or tablet equipped with an application capable of reading them is essential to participate. And a stopwatch.

I am convinced that an informed motorcyclist is a more aware motorcyclist and in his own small way he will act for a better world. For this reason, the articles and videos that I publish on Motoreetto.it are accessible to everyone and without advertising banners because the information must be open and shared.
I am doing it independently and it is allowed by the people who have decided to join my CLAN.
It would be fantastic if you also considered being part of it.
